Community Service

We will be compiling a lit of local services that you would like and could use quilt and/or other quilted items.  Many of you have voiced the opinion that you would like to see your donations used locally.  Please provide names and contact information to Connie Ewbank (Community Service Chair) so that she may contact them personally to determine their needs.

We would also like to have 2 or 3 sew days to make items for some on the list where the needs are greatest.  We could possibly even have a class teaching a new technique where the cost of the class is donation of your quilt once it is completed.

We would like to receive any donations of cotton fabrics for that use, especially juvenile fabrics.

Our intent is not to overlap or userp what other local organizations are already doing.

Please send any and all suggestions to Connie Ewbank.

Red, yellow, green and blue, we need more of you!  5 inch squares, that is.  We are still collecting 5 inch bright squares for our community sew day.  I will not be at the August meeting, but Mary Wolf will take any squares and blocks you have and bring them on Sat.

Sew Day is Sat, Aug 9 at St Paul's.   Doors open at 9:30 and we'll start sewing about 10.  Bring your sewing machine and rotary cutting system and join us for a fun day.  We can work in pairs, or you can work alone, but either way, we'll get lots of blocks done for the kids quilts we are making.
